About the role<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Everybody Loves Languages is seeking fluent, bilingual (English-Portuguese) translators to translate and adapt English language learning lessons into Brazilian Portuguese.\u00a0\u00a0Some content creation is also involved. Paid per unit translated and adapted into Brazilian Portuguese. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Brazilian English teachers with\u00a0CEFR\u00a0C1 level of English\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Native in\u00a0Brazilian\u00a0Portuguese.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Must have experience editing and creating learning materials in Portuguese.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Responsibilities<\/span><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Translation\/Adaptation\/Localization of lessons from English to Portuguese.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Some lesson content creation also required (8% of workload).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Several weeks of full-time work available.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Part-Time is also okay as you are paid per unit.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      What is in a Unit?<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • There are 11 lessons and 1 test per unit<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Learning Points (generally 2 per lesson)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Target Words (5 to 10 per lesson with definition and example from the main dialogue or text)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Main dialogue or text<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • 3 Let\u2019s practice exercises (generally 5 – 7 questions)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • 5 Quiz exercises (generally 3-5 questions)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • an extension activity that can be done alone or with others (an explanation and 5-7 points on how to complete the activity)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • a lesson test<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • audio listed in Media section with file numbers noted\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • image file names from original lesson listed in Media section\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Put through a spell\/grammar check<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • <\/span>Each lesson will be typed into a template<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • All material will be checked for plagiarism.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
        • The development of a unit takes between 30 and 40 hours of work. We need full-time consultants who can produce a unit per week and part-time consultants who can deliver a unit every two weeks.<\/li>\n
        • Payment: 400 Canadian Dollars per unit produced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
