The exam aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhance student&#8217;s personal self-development and a more effective awareness of the importance of English.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a reliable, easy to apply online and affordable international test.<\/li>\n<li>Provide an incentive for non-native English Language learners to improve their own language proficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The exam is made up of 75 questions of items that cover grammar, communicative functions, reading, listening comprehension and vocabulary from levels A1 to B2 of the CEFR. Writing and speaking are assessed in a second component with four oral response items and two written production items. The final exercises of the test are at level B2. As the test becomes more and more challenging, not all students will be able to finish. This is especially true for beginning students, who may need to stop the test without completing the upper-level questions.
